| Rowen Matthews » Director, Learning Design Committee |
For over twenty years, Rowen has trained hundreds of people to become successful teachers, managers and coaches.
Rowen provides high impact performance improvement workshops that focus on participants accessing their own creative energies in order to develop broader abilities in their own professional practice. Participants rapidly develop confidence in their visual, aural, spatial and kinaesthetic intelligence, learning to use their creativity as a work place tool. |
Rowen is also contracted to the New South Wales Department of Education and Training where he develops original learning strategies.
Rowen designed units for a post graduate diploma for the University of New England, which focused on the organisation of knowledge, enabling participants to become effective teachers and coaches. This course draws on current international education research and is one of the most recent post graduate diplomas available. Learners are attracted to this innovative course from all over Australia. |
| As well as lecturing at the University of New England, Rowen is a guest lecturer at the University of Western Sydney, where he teaches learning systems to final year Education students. |
| Rowen holds both Master of Arts and Master of Education degrees. He has received a Directors Award for Excellence in Education and is currently completing a PhD in maximising learning outcomes across multi-cultural and multi-social environments. |
| Dance, drama, architecture and visual arts are Rowan’s great loves. He enjoys discovering hidden, niche art galleries and artists, almost as much as the great masterpieces. Rowan himself is a keen watercolour painter, taking great pleasure in creating subtle, soft and atmospheric pieces. |
